A. Ombudsman Membership - $225.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments The ombudsman category shall only be open to an individual who is committed to promoting and encouraging the purposes of the USOA – as stated in Article II, Section I – and who is an incumbent Ombudsman, or paid or unpaid staff member of an Ombudsman office or an official who performs the Ombudsman function. A member of the ombudsman category shall be considered a voting member of the USOA.

B. Supportive Membership - $175.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments The supportive category shall only be open to an individual who is committed to promoting and encouraging the purposes of the USOA – as stated in Article II, Section I – and who is NOT an incumbent Ombudsman, a paid or unpaid staff member of an Ombudsman office, or an official who performs the Ombudsman function.

C. Student Membership - $35.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments The student category shall only be open to an individual who is committed to promoting and encouraging the purposes of the USOA – as stated in Article II, Section I – who is a post-secondary education-level student, and who is NOT an incumbent Ombudsman, a paid staff member of an Ombudsman office unless they are an intern, or an official who performs the Ombudsman function.

D. Former Ombudsman Membership - $35.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments The former ombudsman category shall only be open to an individual who is committed to promoting and encouraging the purposes of the USOA – as stated in Article II, Section I – and who WAS an incumbent Ombudsman, a paid or unpaid staff member of an Ombudsman office, or an official who performs the Ombudsman function.

E. Retiree Membership Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments The retiree category shall be open to any individual who: (1) Is no longer working 32 hours or more per week in any paid capacity; (2) For a minimum of two years has served as an ombudsman, a staff member of an ombudsman office, or a public official who has performed the ombudsman function; AND (3) Who also has been a previous USOA member.
